Brevik is still at work:
Brevik is sitting on the counter behind the register, facing the store, kicking his feet. No one is in the store, and even his co-worker is outside. He doesn't know what she's doing. He hasn't recently dealt with any particularly memorable customers, and is wondering why I keep calling asking about what exactly he's doing.
